Homesick

Clay had a meeting in San Diego this week.

He flew in to LAX and drove down for his meeting. That night he had dinner with his cousin, Michelle, and got to meet her new baby girl.
After his meeting he walked around the San Diego Temple for a while.
Then he drove back up to Torrance to visit with my Mom and Dad.
 And my sister, Holly.
They had dinner at El Paso Cantina (good Mexican food does not exist in northern VA).  He had lunch at In 'N Out.

They had breakfast at King's Hawaiian Restaurant.
See that striped cake? With yellow, green and red? That is a paradise cake. Three layers (guava, passion fruit, lime) chiffon cake, filled with whipped cream and topped with guava, passion fruit and lime nectar glaze.
We had it at our rehearsal dinner, many years ago.

This is called a POG. It is made with passion fruit, orange, and guava. Yummy.

This is their delicious french toast Hawaiian bread with eggs and Portuguese sausage.

All of this added up to me feeling a whole lot of homesickness.
Wish I could have stowed away in his luggage.
