Look, we can fit inside the lockers!

For the past few months Emma has been saying she wants to milk a cow. We have told here that we would work on it and see how we could make it happen. I told Heather about it and she found a community farm we could go to. So, for 50 cents at 5:00 pm we were able to make her dream come true!

Dinosaur National Monument, CO -Day 14

Okay, so I forgot to include information to this day. Here you go!

We thought it would be fun to go to Dinosaur National Monument. The visitors' center has been condemned, but they have a temporary one set up. From there they take you on a hike to see fossils in the rocks. Pretty cool stuff. The funny thing is that they have found 4 full dinosaurs, 2 of which are on display in Washington DC in the Smithsonian, which we have seen many times. I guess we could have just stayed home.

I don't know why this picture is sideways, but Rebekah loved running around and grabbing the bronze bones.

Cool rock formation.

The most common fossil -pink clam shells. All those other little dents are also clam shell fossils.

This picture also came out sideways. On our hike they had these lovely painted arrows to help you find the fossils. I think this one was a leg bone.

Emma made friends with these boys. Check out all their Junior Ranger badges!! It also helped us find them when they ran off ahead of us, we just had to look for the flashes of light.

Crazy face rock.

On the road yet again -Day 13

We said goodbye to Nears and spent the whole day driving west through northern Colorado to Vernal Utah. Every hotel room was booked because of the oil boom in that area. Who knew?! We luckily called ahead and found a room in a lady's home to rent out.

Here is the Vernal Temple.

More Cheyenne -Day 12

This may be Clay's closest moment to having a son.

Rebekah found Conrad's boy scout uniform and wanted to put it on. Then she started attacking Clay with the light saber while saying "dy, dy, dy".

Alcova, WY -Day 10

Today we went to the Mormon Handcart Visitor's Center. Here you can see Devil's Gate, one of the landmarks on the trail to Utah.

In the distance is Split Rock, another landmark. In these fields, close to the rocks, is Martin's Cove, where the Martin handcart company was stranded in the winter of 1856.

Where the deer and the antelope play ....

More Badlands

Next stop, Mount Rushmore!

This is what the original plans were for the Monument.

About 17 miles to the south is where they are in the process of carving Crazy Horse.

Cool bridge in South Dakota.
