The Funeral

Here is the family at the memorial service.

Afterwards, we went to dinner at Johnnies and played Shove-It back at the hotel. All in loving memory of Flora Mae.

We thought this was a funny picture of all the great-grand kids playing on their "iPhone's".

I have always thought that the wall around the cemetery was pretty crazy.
Here is the chandelier that was donated to Village Baptist Church in memory of Alonzo L. Murray. Flora Mae was very proud of it.

Hotel pool

There is nothing like swimming in the pool for burning off lots of built up energy after all that driving in the car. We made sure the hotel we stayed in had a pool for the girls.

The girls with Grandma Deanna.

St. Louis

We spent the night just outside of St. Louis (after about 13 hours of driving). Clay was born in St. Louis and wanted to show the girls the town. Our first stop was the Gateway Arch.

Here is what the elevator looks like. And see those little tiny windows, that is where the elevator took us. From those windows we could see the whole city, the the AT&T building where Clay's Dad and Grandad used to work (it was Southwestern Bell then.)
Clay has fond memories of the Westward Expansion Museum.

After went to the Cardinals new stadium so Clay could buy himself a new hat.
Here is the house that Clay, Kerry, and his mom lived in. The yellow one is the house that Bruce and Kris lived in.
On our way out of town we drove by the St. Louis Temple. Somewhere in the middle of Missouri, there is a town named Emma :)
That evening we arrived in Kansas City and spent the night with Clay's other grandmother, Adeanya. We went out to dinner with Uncle Greg & Pris, their son Ethan & Jilian, and his 2 girls, Jocelyn and Madelyn.

In loving memory

Flora Mae Wilson (Clay's grandmother) was born May 16, 1916 in Chandler, Oklahoma to Homer and Allie Wilson. She married Alonzo L. Murray in 1934. She was a mother, homemaker, school librarian and founding member of Village Baptist Church. She left us to be with our Lord and Savior on February 9, 2011.

Today, we are starting our drive to Oklahoma City to be with family and celebrate the life of this very sweet and fun-filled lady.
These photos are from the last time we saw her, in Aug 2008.

Dance class

Rebekah has been taking a ballet/tap class from Emma's piano teacher (a multi-talented lady). Today was the last class and the parents were invited to watch. Rebekah has been a bit "hit-or-miss" with the class. But she does like to dress up in her ballet outfit.

Are you sleeping?

Now that Rebekah is in a twin bed, I don't get as many funny sleeping pictures. However, when I went in there tonight, I wasn't sure if she was even breathing!!! Her head was completely wrapped up in the sheet and all you can see is her cute princess underwear.

Music

After a 2 week delay, due to all the snow we got around here, we finally had the 3rd Grade Music Performance. Emma really enjoys singing and dancing. She couldn't wait to show us all the songs she learned. She did a great job!!

There she is, all the way on the left end, right by the exit door.
