Farm Tour

It's the Fall Farm Tour!! I love the chance we have to drive around the county and see all the fall colors. The girls love seeing the animals and getting a pony ride.

Our first stop is the American Academy of Equestrian Sciences for a pony ride. Well, these weren't ponies. These were full size horses.
Our next stop was Day Spring Farm where they had all kinds of animals for the girls to pet. They were taking orders for turkeys for Thanksgiving. They had so many baby animals: a donkey, piglets, a calf, and lots of sheep.
Just look at this beautiful countryside! This is why I love living in Virginia. I just can't get over how beautiful it is.
We stopped at Sunny's Corner Foundation for another pony ride.
Finally, we went to Chicama Run Farm where the girls got to feed the chickens and pick their own farm-fresh half-dozen eggs each. Emma was leery of getting too close to the chickens so she tossed the feed away from her. Rebekah, on the other hand, delighted in the chickens and dropped the feed right at her feet so she would be surrounded by them.
