Aldie Mill

I think I mentioned before that my girls are part of CAR, Children of the American Revolution. Emma serves as Librarian/Curator and Rebekah serves as Chaplin for our local society. I am also involved as the Senior Vice President. This month for our meeting we went to Aldie_Mill. This mill is over 200 years old and is still operational. Our state project this year is to raise money to repair White's Mill in Abingdon, Virginia. Since that is about 8 hours away we thought going to a closer mill would be fun. Our Senior State President, Heather Simpson, attended the meeting with us.
The kids all seemed to have a fun time learning how a mill works and why they were so important.
