A Perfect Day

We are back in CA. We all slept in after our long drive back. We then walked to King's Hawaiian Restaurant for breakfast. My favorite thing to order is french toast made with their Hawaiian Sweet Bread and a P.O.G. (passion, orange and guava juice).

After breakfast we walked down to Hickory Park, where I grew up playing with my friends. There is the coolest rocket ship slide there. All the other playground equipment has been replaced since my time, but this remains because we would all have a heart attack if they took it away. The girls LOVED it.

Meanwhile, Clay and I laid down on the grass. The sky was as blue as could be. The weather was warm, but there was a nice cool breeze blowing. In the shade, it was just perfect. The kind of weather that I have been missing living in VA.

Later that day we drove into LA and stopped by Diddy_Riese for some of the best cookies you can buy in a store. They are 35 cents each or $1.50 for an ice cream sandwich. You just can't beat that! There is always a line, but it moves quickly and the cookies are always fresh. If you live in the area and haven't been --you are truly missing out!

We took our cookies up to the Los Angeles Temple to show the girls where we got married. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day. :)

That almost brings tears to my eyes. I could eat those cookie sandwiches in Westwood all day long. When Logan went down the slide at Hickory Park I thought I was going to have a heart attack! And hey, we were married in the L.A. temple, too. Good times.
