We drove out to Lorton, VA for a Virginia State CAR workshop where they present the state and national themes for the year. It's a fun time where the state officers put on skits. This was my favorite where they all dressed up as Disney Princesses (and a Prince!).
Rebekah was called up to read a part. The cute girl looking over her shoulder was dressed as Ariel. This was her same friend she made at the VA State Conference we went to in February.
Our state president's project for this year is to raise funds to repair the kitchen yard at Gunston Hall, home of George Mason. We took a group picture in the kitchen yard. Our Reverend John Marks Society had the most members in attendance with 13!! Way to go kids!
Rebekah was chosen as Workshop Enthusiast and got a gift bag full of secret agent gear. Here she is with our state president Chas.
After the workshop we took a tour of Gunston Hall. We are missing two of the kids in this picture because they went home before the tour.
This was the cute one room school house on the property. We got a kick out of showing the kids what school looked like. And telling them that they would have all been in the same classroom together.
