Piano Recital

Just 3 days later, Emma had her piano recital. She was really nervous this time.

Piano Recital

Emma had another piano recital this evening.

She played Minuet in G by Bach and The Throne Room from Star Wars by John Williams.

She did a great job.

Scrapbooking & Piano Recital

This weekend I went to a scrapbook retreat with my friends Betsy and Melinda. It was great all that time trying to get caught up. I completed 49 2-page layouts!

Meanwhile, Clay had a busy weekend with the girls. They went out to lunch with Uncle Jay.

Emma had a piano recital in the evening. I know, I hated to miss it. But I paid for this retreat back in Sept way before they even had a date picked out for the recital.

They had 6 pianos on the stage. Each piano had 2 students playing the same duet. 

 Emma is the one with the short sleeves on the white piano. 

Piano Recital

Tonight was Emma's first Piano Recital with her new piano teacher. It was a much bigger group of students than she is used to. She still did a great job! Here she is with her teacher, Ellen Ortega.

Emma played two songs for the recital: Angels We Have Heard on High and Music Box Dancer. This is a video of the first song. The other video was much too big a file.

Piano Recital

Tonight was a happy and sad night for us. It was Emma's piano recital. Her last one for a while. Her teacher, Emilee Tikalsky, is moving to Mexico City. I think Emma started lessons in May 2007. That means she has been taking lessons with Emilee for 5 years. We will miss her!!

The three pieces Emma played are Spanish Caballero, Pagoda Tree and Minuet, all arranged by Nancy & Randall Faber. (For those reading this in an email, you must click to the actual blog to view the video clips.)

Piano Recital

Emma had another piano recital tonight. She played Snake Charmer, Malaguena, and Hedwig's Theme. She invited her 4th grade teacher and her music teacher. They were very impressed. She did a great job!

I have a video of her performance but the file is too big and I can't figure out how to edit it into a supported file format.
